| When Will I See You
Again
There's a light shinning out of a
window
Of a house in which you use to live
And it's getting so cold as I drive away slow
Still I give a last look back again
And there're some pictures of you
on the table
And another one there on the wall
And though I stop to pretend that you're here once again
It doesn't much help now at all
And I wonder when will I see you
again
As I stay to wait for my ship coming in
And holding my dreams right on out till the end
Well you're the only one I've ever had
Well I wonder if sometimes I'm
crazy
And I'm wasting my whole life away
As I wait for my dreams all too often it seems
That I'm watching you slipping away
And the road stretches on out
before me
And I hope this one leads you back home
Cause the nights get so dark as I'm trying so hard
Cause it's so hard to try all alone
And I wonder when will I see you
again
As I stay to wait for my ship coming in
And holding my dreams right on out till the end
Well you're the only one I've ever had
NOTES:
I had been visiting my
girlfriend's parents home, after she had gone to college
in California. I had a hard time letting go, even
though at that time she had already "moved on". I
(for some reason) still believed that things would work
out between us. It never did.
