| To The Children
Hearing about tomorrow
Wondering how it ends
Will you find joy or sorrow
I guess that all depends
On how much you're learning
And what you pass on
Your bridges are burning
No time for lingering on
It's not that you can't, you're
not willing
For giving up your precious time
You can't stop to give to the children
You're to busy on your own climb
Like sheep to the slaughter
You think you won't pay
While your sons and daughters
Are falling and fading away
NOTES:
Recorded at Applewood Studio.
I am singing lead and playing guitars. Russ
Bennett is playing the cello parts. My brother,
Steve, and my girlfriend, Adoria are singing back up
vocals
I really can't remember why I
wrote this song. When I played it for an A&R guy
at one of the music companies in L.A. he told me the
intro was too long and "next time leave the cello at
home". |
