| Junkstore Alley
You said that we're all through
There's no use in crying
But what else can I do
Cause there's no denying
That here I stand with no tomorrow
Walk don't the street still thinking of you
I kick a rock and watch it roll
Down Junkstore Alley all alone
Through crowded corridors
Of antiques so old
They talk right out at you
With dreams they can hold
Now I'm like them no longer needed
Just like a chapter that's deleted
Because it serves no further use
On Junkstore Alley it's all through
And in the mason jars
I see your face
Reflections on my mind
I cant erase
It's like I see you all around me
Can't tear the thoughts about you from me
I can't believe that love is gone
As Junkstore Alley stretches on and on
That here I stand with no tomorrow
Walk don't the street still thinking of you
I kick a rock and watch it roll
Down Junkstore Alley all alone
Down Junkstore Alley all alone
NOTES:
This song was recorded at
Applewood Studio. Just me singing and playing
guitar.
Just after graduating from high
school, I spent the summer with my brother (who lived in
Pasadena, CA). I was walking down one of the
streets (I believe it was called "Fair Oaks" but I'm not
sure) and stopped into a couple of large antique stores.
I was missing my girlfriend (who was always breaking up
with me) and I wrote this song. |
