Getting Better - Rick Richardson

This may take a moment or two to load ....

Getting Better

Well I was somewhere in between
And getting tired of seventeen
And I was sure you're what I'd need
Said it's getting better - ugh hugh

It was just like a dream come true
To find an older girl like you
And I was so sure of what to do
I thought it's getting better - ugh hugh

I wasn't sure what I was looking for like you were
I couldn't have dreamed the things that were in store

You could have told me this yourself
It would have saved the shock I felt
To hear you're married to someone else
They said but it's getting better - ugh hugh

I couldn't see straight enough to see the lies in your eyes
And made my mistakes with all I jeopardized

Well it turned out as so much more
Than I had ever bargained for
So I'm not coming 'round no more
No, it's getting better - ugh hugh

This song was recorded at Charles' (guitar player from the group "Owl") parents home in Bellevue.  It was a nice home with plastic covers on the sofas. Charles is playing lead guitar I'm not sure if the other members of the group helped me on this or if Charles was playing several instruments (bass and drums).  I am playing rhythm guitar and doing all the vocals

NOTES:

I was just getting past Adoria (a girl that was a few years younger than I was and not sure of what she wanted to do with her life) and thought that when I met Rachael Richardson (I later found out that it was her maiden name) things would be better. That was not to be the case.  I found out (when I went to visit her in Oregon) that she was married (although separated at the time).  After coming home I decided there was just too much baggage for this to go any further.
