| Before We Could Start
Well she's found herself a new
love
And I tell myself she's probably better off
And maybe this time she has found the one
To have that something I guess I did not
They look so happy like a picture
from a book
She give to him what I remember I mistook
As something more than just the bait upon her hook
Well maybe I should say I'm sorry
I didn't see what she was after for before
And maybe I don't need to worry
Because she's found herself a new place to explore
I guess that I should just be
shinning like the sun
And maybe I should say I've finally overcome
This love I felt for her I ought to say is gone
But sometimes I wish they'd be
breaking up
To give us a chance to be making up
And maybe at last we could find the love
That we had lost before we could start
Well I see her now with someone
But I know her style, it won't last long
Before she's tired and wants to get around
Like something's lost if you should know the one you
love
You say that I'm a fool to want
her back again
And you don't know why I should go back where I've been
It's just this love I feel for her, it never ends
And sometimes I wish they'd be
breaking up
To give us a chance to be making up
And maybe at last we could find the love
That we had lost before we could start
And sometimes I wish they'd be
breaking up
To give us a chance to be making up
NOTES:
This was my
first session in a recording studio. It was
recorded along with "The Wedding Song" Sometimes a
song comes out exactly like you "heard" it in your head.
"The Wedding Song" was like that. THIS song
however was exactly the opposite. The arrangement
wasn't anything like the song in my head.
Although I never recorded it again, I think it is a much
better song than what I recorded here. |
