| Avalanche
Feeling your love leaving me,
And
seeing my world crumbling
Who would have thought our love would pass
Right through an avalanche
The distant strung out between us
now
I guess it seemed to me would never come at all
I could have sworn our love would last
Before the avalanche
I've heard it said that love is
plentiful
Just drop your nets into an endless pool
And you will find in time a love that's pure
But if I've been there, I still don't know for sure
Getting back all these memories
And thing about how much your love still means to me
Just hoping you'd grant another chance
After the avalanche
Feeling your love leaving me,
And
seeing my world crumbling
Who would have thought our love would pass
Right through an avalanche
NOTES:
We often hear about relationships
that "crumble" or "fall apart". So, in my typical
melodramatic way, I thought, "What if you had a
relationship that went through an "avalanche".
This song was recorded at
Applewood Studio with me on guitar and A.C. Watson
playing acoustic lead. This was one of the
songs that, as you can hear, the magnetic tape was
beginning to deteriorate before I was able to get it
digitally recorded. |
